I have never seen so many great cases coming out.
Between Swift's new styles, Jack's great stuff like the Ron Ross and TAR cases, Murnak's innovative stuff, On Q Case's inlays, Cuemaster's stunning tooling, Matcases' artistry, JB Cases' whatevers, Whitten's new styles, GTF, Thomas, New George cases, and all the vintage stuff coming out of the closet, this is the year of cases in my opinion.
I was listening to TAR's interview with Jack and they were talking about the fact that there aren't many case makers compared to cue makers. It's true.
Here is the list I know of active case makers not including production brands,
Jack Justis
Whitten
Brian Bonner
On Q Cases
JB Cases
Jim Murnak
Matcase
Dennis Swift
Cuemaster
Ron Thomas
Jiasen Cue Cases
Instroke/Stroke (added because they occassionally do custom stuff)
It's George - Are they still making cases?
Ritchie Remo
Anyone have others to add to the list? This is still a small list compared to the amount of cuemakers out there. But it's more choice than players have had in years.
Anyway I want to say that I am completely in awe of some of the case art that gets posted here.
John - apprentice case maker.
