From reading another thread i picked up the "zone switch".

Never thought about it like that.

Ive felt the zone, dead stroke or whatever you call it many times the past couple of weeks.

But ive never been able to keep this zone switch on for more then a set or two at a time. I would play in that zone for a set or two, not missing a makeble shot, saftey or position. the ball just falls where i intended. if its a little off.. then i just fire the next ball in anways.

Then the next set i would fall into some kinda comma for the whole set! then sometimes i feel it come back on, sometimes not. but the thing is... every time i played these past two weeks ive felt that zone come out for at least a set or two.

My question is, i can feel the zone, see everyshot, do everything correctly. but i cant seem to keep it on. :(

how do you do it?

I know exactly what you mean, the more often you feel it, the closer you are getting. Relaxation and focus have much to do with it, but I am betting that there is no one trick that works for everyone. The switch is in your head somewhere, you have to keep looking.

This is a very easy thing to do. Just follow the instructions below:

1. Quit your job.
2. Dump your girlfriend/boyfriend
3. Renounce all responsibility
4. Find someone who requires little to no attention and has lots of money

Enjoy.

A switch is something you do everytime before you get down to shoot. Such as stop chewing your gum or chalk your cue or wipe your hand on your pants. It switches you from thinking to executing and starts the shot. In order to achieve this zone you have to be able to repeat every shot exactly the same without thinking about it.

Sorry but there is no one on this forum or anywhere else that can give you a "zone switch", if there was they'd be a millionaire many times over. You're talking about a state of mind where you are playing off of your sub-conscious and not thinking about anything but the task at hand and oblivious to outside destractions, elusive to say the least. People in every sport have been looking for the magic potion to find this form of consciousness forever. When you do find it enjoy it and then look forward to the next time it shows itself.
