There aught to be a law..

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates this trend, I was worried I was just turning into an old fart.

I was at the DMV about a year ago stood in line behind a kid who had his jeans (fashionably) low. The person behind me whispered "Oh, that is gross" & I turned to agree. She then pointed out to me what she really meant. I managed not to crack up but it was all I could do not to ask the kid if he was there for his driving test. If so, I hoped he wouldn't be getting any more skid marks today.

Made my day, that's for sure. And it was funny seeing everyone in line behind him taking a step back!!

The neighbor boys wear their pants with the crotch below their knees and have all of their under shorts exposed. They look like sissies. They have to walk with baby steps.

Seen a very heavy female sitting on a bar stool (couldn't see the seat) in the PH. Both of her butt cheeks overhanging the seat and the top of her pants were underneath. From the back it appeared as if she wasn't wearing any bottoms. Not a pretty site. I guess she thought she was "hot".

I guess every generation has to have their identity.

Yeah I don't get this either, I can't understand the whole 'metrosexual' thing. My pet peave is the neatly trimmed 5 O'clock shadow.

The only thing that should cause a man to take more than 10-15 minutes to get ready in the morning, is a bowel movement.

Nothing metro about a little shaped stubble....
Nothing worng with a man taking some pride in his outward look.

I spend what some would say is a fortune in clothes, (I admit I do have the closet of a woman).but I havent sagged a pair of pants in 10 years.

By the way, a "metro" guy wouldnt be the type to sagg.. two different gripes you have there :D

hey!, I resemble that remark....no, I NEVER show crack when I'm plumbing, and I've been doing it for 25yrs.

there are a few companies out there named "NO CRACK" plumbing. :D and they sell tons of t-shirts!

My company is just Gerry's Plumbing....plain and simple.

When I used to go to Cuenique in Madison, there was an older guy (can't remember his name anymore) who used to share his plumber's crack with everyone. He shot good though! I remember one time he hit the lights on a break shot.

"The part I never understood- the trend got started in the prisons. The new guys would have to wear their pants low to 'advertise their wares'. How that became a fashion statement is just beyond me.[/QUOTE]"

The trend didnt get started in prisons... for crying out loud....
It is a lot simplier and less gay than that.. it is simply just a product of hand me downs.. big bro's pants went to lil bro before lil bro could fit them correctly...

Somebody decided to make it "cool".. then it became the style that exploded on the scene thanks to early 90's rap invasion...

Back in England when these pants first showed up we called them "Oops!" pants. If the wearer had a little accident (Oops!) the bagginess would hide some of the damage. Only some of it though, I don't believe they incorporated a flavour-lock seal.

Sorry if that offended you or anyone else. I was just joking (if that wasn't clear).

And thanks for clearing that up. I didn't know where it came from. In the 90s I was in my own world and didn't follow things in the world or media.

i was playing the other day and three 16'ish guys which looked like brothers had there pants way way down playing next table over and it bothered me some while i was playing, I felt like walking over and cuffing them in the back of the head!! but they had what i think was there mother and father there playing with them so i just let it go and the parents looked like they were late 50's!!

Is this topic really still going on?

If there's going to be a law regarding casual dress in a poolroom, I think there should be a law against so many typos in a post (not to mention title).

Ok maybe not a law but a rule..

Allright no rule but how about common sence dictating that we do not display our underwear while bending over a pool table?

Realy just a gripe but I have been seeing more and more of guys showing off thier boxer shorts to other pool players and bar patrons.Fortunately none of these fellas are competent pool players yet.Is this just a laughable perculiarity or a disturbing trend?
I think that should depend on how hot, young, or female you are.. JMO

Tight Girls pants

Explain to me why the guys that go to my daughters high school wear young woman's jeans those jeans are so tight you can count the change in their pockets. When did young men stop being young men and start to want to be young woman seems to be a short supply of men these days. I guess they are finding their feminine side.

Have seen that before also.I asked my 14 year old nephew "whats up with that?" He tells me that the boys cant get away with wearing girls pants at home so they take them to school or the scate park in thier bp and then change. Also he said sometimes they trade pants with a girl for a while.Maybe its a competition to see who can wear clothing that makes it the most impossible to walk in.
