Thicker shafts

Old age and arthritis have taken it's toll and made me appreciate thicker (12.75-13mm) shafts that are easier to handle. What are some of the better performing, not so skinny shafts out there?

If you consider 12.75 as thicker, there are lots to choose from- Predator 314-2, OB-1, OB Classic, Lucasi Hybrid, Tiger Ultra-X LD. All great shafts.

Thats what she said....

* I am sorry I know that was no help what so ever, but I could not resist. First thing that popped in my head when reading the title

The new Tiger Ultra LD/Onyx is one I'm considering if anyone has any feedback. Does thicker(over 12.75mm) mean it won't be low deflection?

If you consider 12.75mm to be thick, what the heck were you playing with before? Both 12.75 and 13mm are current defacto standards for American pool shafts today. Also, LD is more the result of reduced end mass as opposed to a shafts overall diameter. Do a search for more info on LD shafts.

I like my (McDermott) I-2...
It has a firmer hit than most
of the LD shafts I've tried...
