I think flame wars are the perfect answer. Especially if they involve a certain case maker from the far East.
They're sometimes funny, always have lot's of drama, and are are just the thing to while away an afternoon in front of the old Hewlet/Packard.

IMO, as long as the language remains semi-civil there's nothing wrong with a little blood letting now and then -- helps let off the steam
