Jorge Torres is alive and well. For those that don't remember, Jorge had a website trickshooter.com that showed matches for Free (he also had a pool movie documentary in the works). Jorge and his site dropped out of site for years, but now he's BACK.
Check out his new site and his filmed pool matches at: http://propoolvideo.com
WELCOME BACK,JORGE..... and thanks for the video.
Doug
( Jorge will have the finals of yesterday's Florida Tour stop up for viewing later this week and has tons of other matches that he will be putting up in the next couple of weeks )

Fantastic videos. I love how he cut out all of the dead space.

Thanks.. JOE

The match ...

I liked the way he did it too. Watched Bilbrey and Moore. Good runout players, and good safeties, but they missed every hard shot they had to shoot (what I would call a hard shot).

If they didn't have a good shot, they both played safe, but they did get out if they had a shot usually.

Great videos, thanks for the link!. :)

The camera work was excellent as well. You can always tell when the cameraman actually understands the game, they knows just where to position themself to capture the action.

Love the fast edits to, and no boring commentary stating obvious facts either, just the way it should be. ;)

Hey Doug,

I haven't seen Jorge in a few years, glad to see he's back around. I think I still have his trickshot screensaver on one of my comps. :)

I just noticed Jorge Torres name among the AZB Members list, so you may now contact him here about any matches that he has available for Free viewing.
Welcome aboard Jorge.

Enjoy the matches, and like how they are done. I can not seem to fast forward in them any though, or reset the pointer to later in the match.

They play the 'play safe till the other guy messes up, or I get a good open shot, and then run out game'. It's like watching 20 minutes of Chess, and 11 of Pool.

People go on about big tables so much, but it is quite EASY to play safe
on a big table! On a bar table (oversized 7 footer), you have to bring it on more.

Not sure if you noticed:
If you float your pointer over the screen, the toolbar comes up as a ghost image to pause, FF, stop or move the pointer to different parts of the match.
Creative work and I enjoyed the video.

Jorge, whatever became of that pool documentary movie that you had in the works ?
Doug
( figured Jorge to win an Oscar with that cast of stars )

I love free pool videos!!

Thanks a million Jorge, and by the way, if you are/were working on a documentary, let us know because I have had the same idea for years. Thought about traveling around with some road players I know. Anyways, thanks.

Anyone notice how Steve kinda wiggles before he shoots? He is shaking like an old man right before he shoots.

Yes, very reminiscent of Varner's stroke. Seems to be working out allright for him though.

I've been in Atlanta taping the Viking Tour National Championship. The hot-seat semi-final should be up by Thursday.

to SNAPSHOT9: Since the videos are delivered as a progressive download, you can't fast-forward until that part of the video has already been downloaded.

to SMORG: Yes, the documentary is almost complete. As you know, I've been working on it for quite some time. Stay tuned...

to BELMICAH: Thanks for your interest in my film. The documentary is almost finished, and it does feature footage of road players in action.
