Im glad you like the Schon... As for the Meucci Power Pooh Pooh Plunger, I have those for sale if you are interested...I can have it customized with ivory butt caps and leather/lizard wrap for the handle!!

I'm probably 20/400 or so without glasses. Well, today I shucked them and did my best at running 2 full racks at straight pool. Manged to run probably 10 balls, without glasses, with a Meucci. Was it the Meucci or me? I think it was me... the Meucci had nothing to do with it...
Run the balls with the cue you have...
That being said, do I like my Meucci? Of course I do, or else I'd never have bought it... Are there "better" cues? I suppose there are, if by "better" one understands flashier, stiffer, more handsome, "better hitting", and so on. I've owned a good number of cues, and they all pot balls. Some better, some worse.
However, if I win a match with one or the other, that cue's my friend....
And my Mooch has helped me win not a few matches...
Go put that in your pipe and smoke it...

Not especially, but it does work for me. Actually, I like a crisp hit, I like the feedback a lively hit gives me. But that feedback is something quite different from a cue that plays well. What makes a cue play well? In my humble opinion, it shouldn't squirt the cue ball to kingdom come when extreme english is applied with firmness. However a cuemaker reduces the squirt to what is a tolerable level for me is his business.
I just know that with my Mooch and super flexible 12mm shaft when I have a table length shot on a ball frozen on the opposite end rail, that I can aim using extreme english at about 3/4 ball, and when that cue ball goes down there, the object ball usually goes down too. Much easier than having to allow for a squirt on the order of 1 and a half balls.
If you've never tried those sorts of shots really putting the juice on the ball, and perhaps you have, find out and see if that reduced squirt with tons of english isn't something desirable...

I have a friend who plays with a Universal shaft who when he saw my Mooch reacted disgustingly towards it. Now this guy is one heck of a player. He said Mooches don't shoot straight, especially when putting the juice on the ball. So he set up a long, down the rail cut shot for me to shoot. Down went the sucker.
I gave him the stick to try. He did the same thing, but harder. Down it went. Then he did it again with lots of juice and stroke. Down went the ball. And a third time, the ball potted. He said that's not like any Mooch I've tried before...
So there must be good Mooches and the other X((is++)(**& kind too...
Heck, I'm just glad I can pot a few balls...
