This Saturday in Northern VA

Purdman and I are going to meet up at First Break in Sterling on Saturday, probably around noon, for a little friendly competition on the billiards table, and probably a few beers, and I can only assume a bit of light conversation. Within driving distance? Got some free time on Saturday? Come play!

Gamblers welcome, but don't start woofing at me for action; you'll find me pretty unwilling to put many of my hard-earned dollars on the line.

Count me as a maybe at this point. I do believe First Break has some sort of Saturday tournament, not sure if you guys knew that. I don't know how many tables it consumes.

I think it is a one-pocket tournament, if they are still having it, that is supposed to begin at 12:00 noon. Y'all should play in the one-hole event! It's fun!

I think it is a one-pocket tournament, if they are still having it, that is supposed to begin at 12:00 noon. Y'all should play in the one-hole event! It's fun!

The time we were there and they had the one-pocket tournament, they allowed patrons to play on the back tables. They used the front five or six tables for the one-pocket tournament.

I just talked to Mo, the manager. He knows there is a Saturday tournament but isn't sure what kind. There is a tournament there every Saturday morning I think. 8 ball on the winners side and 9 ball on the losers. If there isn't room we can move on.

I wish I were. I doubt I'd have any better luck in it than the last tournament I played down there (since I'm a B player on my best day), but this time I bet I could prove I at least have the ability to make a ball Give Tony Ruberto the 7 for me.
