My good billiard friend and longtime Carom Club member Thom Prins passed away last week. I will miss the play on words and general reporte.

Thomas E Prins age 67, of Holland died unexpectedly at his home Wednesday, September 30, 2015. He was the son of Edward and Ella Risselada Prins.
Born in Holland, Tom graduated from Holland High School class of 1966. In 1970 he graduated from University of Michigan College of Engineering with a Bachelor degree in Science and Applied Mathematics.
He was employed by Holland Public Schools Transportation Dept. and later with Dr. Pepper/7 Up Bottling Group as a Programmer Analyst. Tom enjoyed long distance biking, including a trip from Michigan to Seattle as well as Denver to Michigan. He also rode in many 24 hour bike challenges.
Tom was a member of the Grand Rapids Carom Club as well as St. Francis de Sales Church.
Tom was preceded in death by his step son, Mark Alan Holmquist; and step granddaughter, Megan Crace Bull.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Kedrowski Prins; step daughter, Lisa Crace of Middleville; step grandson, Seth Richard Crace; step great-grandsons, Alexander John Bull and Weston Thomas Bull; brother, Russell E and Martha Prins of East Lansing; sisters, Mary Barletta of North Reading, MA., and Jane and Mike Emery of Bath, MI; brother in law, Michael H. Kedrowski of Cadillac; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. at St Francis de Sales Church ,195 West 13th St. with Rev. William Vander Werff officiating. Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery
Friends may call on the family Monday 6-8 at the Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 295 Douglas Ave. as well as Tuesday 10-11 at the church prior to the service.
Memorial gifts may be given to American Diabetes Association .
