Those who pay for TC Qualifiers, have they got any rights?

If the IPT collaps tomorrow, as most of us believe, what rights do the players who have paid entryfee in TC-qualifiers have?

The question is; did the IPT have knowledge that they didn't have any possibility to proceed with the product they are offering (play in Las Vegas), and that it therefore is illegal to accept payment for such a product?

Maybe the players who entered qualifiers, and still do, should join the lawyer?

BTW: Please do not bash the players who did pay, please try to answer on my question...

I would think the ones who won their way to the IPT tournaments could get a charge back on the credit card they used to pay their entry fee based on non delivery of what was promised. I'm not so sure it would work for someone who entered a Q, but didn't advance.....But I'm not a lawyer...I did, however, spend the night at a Holiday Inn Express.

While it would be HUGELY difficult to prove, there is a claim for "fraudulent inducement" and other similar claims that could be brought by qualifiers but trust me...proving that the IPT KNEW there was NO HOPE that any given tournament would take place would be massively difficult to prove and the damages...i.e. qualifier entry fees and some related expenses would make such an action economically unjustifiable IMHO.

Well, my Pool friend that won a qualifier in Tulsa doesn't carry credit cards,
he carries CASH, but he would get a receipt.

How did your friend manage to enter a qualifier by paying cash? Who did he pay the cash to and how?
