Has anyone ever looked closely at the signature line of your checkbook? Ever noticed it isnt a line at all? But rather a group of really really small words. I cant make it out yet, but am interested in what it says. Anyone on here know? Thanks in advance.

It says, If you can read ,this you don't need glasses. No point in giving you small print on a contract. Authorized Signature

My wife is legally blind, means she can't see worth a darn. Anyway we have all kinds of equipment to magnify stuff. Using one of her tools I found that on our checks it says,

"authorized signature authorized signature authorized signature"

You get the idea.

So if anyone attempts to alter the sig line it will be obvious as it cannot be restored.

There was a guy here that used to gamble and go off. So much so that he often wrote checks to cover his bets. He got the nickname "Checkbook George". Never heard of his checks bouncing and he wasn't hurting for money. He would gamble on just about anything, even flipping quarters.

That's one moniker I wouldn't want to be associated with..
