Thoughts on sapele wood for playing cue

I really like the looks of this wood for a cue. I have seen a few but never played with one. What kind of hit would this wood give compared to a rosewood. Being that the two cues are made the same by the same builder.

Softer than rosewood, lighter in weight than rosewood, less tone than rosewood.

Needs to be cored with a hardwood.
Dings easily though.
