Three 3 Best Cue Makers in the World

I owned a black boar in the 90's that I paid $1200 for and I dont think it hit
any better than the mezz cues I own now
It's the fanboys and the sugar daddies that are hyping these makers up because they are invested in the cue. They want to help the cue maker and there is nothing wrong with that.

A company such as Predator or Mezz doesn't get these praises because they are a big company regardless the feedback.

Look what everyone is playing with and that will tell you who is good.

Dennis, Brugge and Tonkin laugh at glue lines or gaps.
Their work are just unreal.
I was in Dennis shop in 2012…look like he could be making UFO’s instead of cues 😁 the cues of Dave’s I’ve had have indeed been super clean and tho I’ve seen a bunch…out of the probably 600 cues that have went thru my possession over the years I’ve never had a Tonkin.

I'm a little surprised that we're 48 posts into this thread and I haven't seen Southwest mentioned. With a waiting list that seems to be getting close to multi-generational, I would have thought someone here would have thought they were among the best.

Suprising to me is everyone mentioned thus far are from USA. And while all mentioned are worthy, are there no cue makers outside of the States that could make the list??
Oh absolutely. One fine example is North Demon. Here you can see my North Demon cue, plays and looks absolutely fantastic.

Then there is also Lucky Hishinuma, who is my neighbor. I've had the pleasure to see and try his cues in person and they are the crème de la crème.

There's some good Chinese manufacturers, but besides Zen and maybe FU, I am not privy to many elite custom craftsmen. There are a few making real nice snooker, or Chinese-8 cues.

Theewen/rat cue for playability.

I own a Tonkin, Jacoby, and hightower, as well as having played with a searing, tascarella, Scruggs, treadway and Richard black, my rat cue plays better than all of them, that said the lines and workmanship arent as good, but this example is from his earlier days and was only around 500 new.

i couldn’t come up with a top 5, so I went with top 10 for me. I played with the occasional cue from these makers that I personally haven’t loved the way they played, but day in day out, you can’t go wrong with any on this list.
