Three Piece Cues

With the current plane travel restrictions for 2 piece pool cues, it seems to me that 3 piece cues may be a viable alternative. With cue manufacturing techniques and materials having improved over the years, a 3 piece cue could play as good as a 2 piece cue.

A secondary thought that may even bring more interest. In a three piece cue you could change any one of the three pieces to change any of the various characteristics of a cue. It will be interesting to look at the thoughts from players and cue makers both.

EDIT: After more research I found that pool cues cannot be brought on planes as carry on luggage...sorry.

You won't be able to get a three-piece through carry-on either.

I sure feel safer knowing the TSA is watching out for me with the no cue sticks rule. Those pesky terrorists make me nervous and we all know they use cues to hijack planes. It’s the weapon of choice!

God only knows what they would do if they got a hold of some purple 5 balls……
