thursday matches

So basically the streaming table is playing like a table at any of the regular poolhalls I visit down here? :p Seriously, I am amazed at how different a clean table with clean balls will play than a dirty table with dirty balls. It's amazing how much of a difference it makes with the break shot and breaking up clusters. :p

Does anyone know how many innings the JS/TH match took? It was a little painful to witness

Schmidt had 21 innings, Hohmann 20 -- as follows:

Legal safeties: 6 for Schmidt, 9 for Hohmann
Fouls on a safety (intentional or not): 3 for Schmidt, 1 for Hohmann
Misses on first shot: 2 for Schmidt, 1 for Hohmann
Scoring innings: 10 for Schmidt, 9 for Hohmann

And let me add this -- The most amazing thing to me about that match was that the two players turned the table over to the opponent 7 times on the opening break shot of a rack (5 misses plus 2 scratches).

That match with holman was the only subpar of the tournament for John. He has played solid and is in the finals!!! Schmidt 200 Eckert 60... Good luck John!!!!!!
