Ticket Sales

I wonder how ticket sales are going for the big event in Vegas.

How many seats will be available?

How big will the playing area be? How many tables? Will seats be available all around the tables like at the KOTH.

1,000 seats?

It would be a huge shame if they could not fill 1,000 seats. With 200 players that would mean that each player would only have to attract 5 paying fans. If they can't do that then the only hope for the IPT would be to move somewhere overseas.

Why are there not going to be any tickets sold at the door?
It makes absolutely no sense at all.

What happens if they have only sold 50% of tickets in advance sales.
Are you telling me they will turn away people at the door who want to pay to see the event.

There will be people on vacation or business in Vegas who just happen upon the IPT tournament, they would not have known about the advance ticket sale policy and are now not allowed to come in and watch the tournament even though it is not sold out.

Good points. This seems very short sighted on their part. Vegas is a very impulse oriented place.

Maybe they don't want to have to deal with selling them at the event? I can't remember...did they end up selling tickets at the door in Orlando even though they said they wouldn't?

Nope. While we were sitting at the autograph table near the entrance, several people were interested in getting tickets on impulse and hadn't heard about it beforehand. They were in the Convention Center for something else, happened to learn of the tournament, liked pool and wanted tickets, but were unable to get them.

They couldn't sell any tickets at the door for the KOTH. It was announced as a sellout at least a couple of weeks before the tournament. Is this not correct?

But the stands seemed to be almost empty for most of the tournament.
