it looks like you aren't really "on haitus" after all!!!
Not as much as I was but still here a lot less than I used to be. I stay mostly in the NPR forum these days. ;)

Rick rules! He has not been seen enough on the tour this year...

I'll be there, should be neat. I was going to do the competition but I dont have time and must head back home at 4pm but my father and I are coming up to see some of the pros and stuff.

Thanks for letting me know about this!

Glad to see you're going to make it out. As far as pro's.... I'm guessing Mike Davis will be there. Shawn Putnam will not be at this event but is subject to show up at Tiger Planet Pool events. Keith McCready, Ryan McCreesh, & Pooky pop in sometimes.

Come back Sun to see the cream rise to the top on the men's side. There will also be a women's event.... Pam Treadway (future touring pro if she sticks with it) Sueyen Rhee current touring pro, & quite a few other women that play great are subject to be there. :)

In the open division the battle for the hot seat came down to Kevin West and Matt Clatterbuck. I'm familiar with Kevin's game but I did not know Matt... I won't be forgetting this guys name! From what I understand, he's a family man and doesn't play too much but the guy has a GREAT game! Kevin was having a great tournament & at the start of the match, it could've been either one of them. It ended up being fairly one sided as Kevin found the perfect break speed for the table they were on. At this point, I had Kevin pegged to snap off the whole tournament but Jerry Slivka came out of nowhere! I've seen Jerry play before and he's got a great game... he wasn't on his game too well this weekend and struggled through some matches. When it came down to the finals and it was for the money.... Jerry found his game and ended up besting Kevin 11-9 if I remember correctly. They only had a field of 55 this time in the open division but it was a strong field with plenty of great matches for us railbirds to enjoy. :)

Not surprisingly, Pam Treadway won the women's division. She went to the one loss side in the 2nd or 3rd round but like the trooper she is, she clawed her way through the one loss side and came back to beat Kathleen Lawless who had gone undefeated up to the finals. Sorry I don't have more names and scores... Not only was I talking and watching a number of matches but... dang if the girls on that tour don't have some difficult names! LOL, I'm not even going to attempt to try & spell them. Cuequeen was there and had a pretty good tournament. If I'm not mistaken, she took 4th???

As usual, the Tiger Planet Pool staff ran a nice tight ship and from what I could tell, a good time was had by all.

Also, the recently MIA VaPoolplayer aka VAP was there. He said to tell everyone hello & to let ya'll know he's still alive & kicking. ;)

Icon of Sin, I'm sorry to have missed you. I ended up babysitting some drunk friends on Fri night and didn't get in until 3am. I was leaving my house at the time that I had wanted to be arriving at the tournament. Glad to see you made it out was able to meet Ceci (all 4 ft nothing of her) :D Hopefully you'll make it out to another one sometime. The season finale in Rockville, MD is going to be a good time. $8000 added if I remember correctly!

Nick, Ceci, Andy, Celeste, CJ....pleasure seeing you guys as always. :)

Nice seeing you again, Timberly. Is was a pleasure talking to you at the event, also. Nick, Cece, and Andy always run a great tournament.
