Tiger Sniper tips

I know they are mentioned here and there in other threads, but I felt this tip deserved it's very own thread. Since I just ordered one I thought I'd ask what people thought of these tips. The good the bad and the ugly. :)

You get it on the AZB katrina auction? I go one coming from the katrina auction and am going to put it on my spare cue and give it a try.

I used to have one on a 314 and liked it a lot. The issue was that it delaminated after about 2 months.

Mine may have been a fluke, I don't know, but I've been using Talisman WB medium since.

I thought it was a fairly soft tip.

Yes I installed it myself but I've installedprobably 50 layered tips for myself and team members and this is the ONLY one that ever delaminated.

I do have a second one that I will try one of these days.

Its a SOFT, HARD tip. Does that help ?

Also, never ever install one yourself. Have a professional do it !

I only like them once they get very thin. All the ones I had were pretty soft and mushroomed a lot but once they got pretty thin they played very well.

On my playing shafts one has a Sinper on it and the other has a Everest on it. I much prefer the way the Everest plays. The Sniper played a lot harder than i was expecting it to (i like medium tips) and the Everest is just about perfect, hasn't lost any of its shape and holds chalk great, as does the Sniper.
I would say tho that i like the Sniper tips a lot more than any moori's that i've tried.

We know ...

Never change a light bulb. Have an electrician do it.

The electrician has read the instruction manual, and that you
haven't .... and we don't want you to get electrocuted ... lol

Yes, and after all it's a huge instruction manual for retipping pool cues. :D

And to think.... I've been doing my own retipping by hand for over 10 years.

Guess I'll have to go down to the library and check out the instruction manual. Now do I need to get any government permits to retip?. :D

You install tips without a lathe? I bet those look real good.
