Tightening GC3 pockets

IDK, the tables I played on over the years were all probably the "worst way" to do it.

The banger tables were the single factory shim. 5" pockets. At the back of the room.

The 9 ball gambling tables were "double shimmed". I suppose that means the OEM factory shim added onto itself, for 2 shims total.

Then the one pocket table near the counter was "triple shimmed". I take that as 3 factory thickness shims in total. The triple shims resulted in 4.5" pockets, the double in 4.75".

I don't think any of these mechanics were adjusting angles. Instead, just adding same-thickness shims on top of the factory shim.

Maybe I was not good enough to know the difference, but all the double and triple shimmed tables I played on for 20 something years at random pool rooms all played fine to me at the pockets.

Problems arise with speed. Balls that should go get spit out when pockets are over-shimmed. Facings are way too hard and mouth-to-throat ratio is totally screwed. I call them 'gaffy' tables.
