tightening pockets

How do you shim the pockets? I have a Brunswick 9' (not a GC) with very generous pockets. I think its a "Bradford."

$30

Or for $30 you can buy pocket reducers and see if you actually like the pockets tighter. You don't need anyone to install pocket reducers.

I've considered that also and read the previous thread on the subject. I'm probably going to get some and get some prozac when I do.

Rails

You can send me the rails and I could extend them the right way with new rubber and cut the pockets right. You could also double shim them to tighten them up some.

Its not hard but to recover the rails can be a pain.I triple shimmed mine and it makes it fun to play on.You can order the shims or order the rubber and just cut them to fit.Make sure you glue them good.

Pockets

It all depends on what type of cloth and rubber you use. To extend the rail will cost you $500+ depending on what you want done. But the table will play right. To just shim up the pockets you would be looking at the price of shims and the labor. I charge $100 to double shim the pockets when I am recovering a table. It takes and extra 1-2 hours to do.

Hi Steve, when you say extend the rail, do you put a maple shim on the subrails before you put the new cushions on?
