Seriously??? I just watched nvb miss two balls in one rack... I cant keep track of how many balls sat up, then dropped this week... Both players get the luxury of dogging balls and watching them fall...

This has been discussed extensively on the table difficulty thread (it's in a sticky post at the top of the main forum).

Bottom line is that when you narrow the pockets correctly, you also change the facing angles and shelf depth. The balls may have a slightly harder time getting past the jaws, but once they do, they drop a lot easier than on a regular Diamond pocket.

In fact, Dechaine just now dropped the 1-ball on the break after it basically missed as far as I'm concerned.

The cloth is sliding a lot as well which lets the balls slide in the pockets. Most of the misses have been legitimate misses actually. This table might measure tight but its playing pretty lose.

Ask Dechaine about the side pockets....he may disagree with your assessment.

If you hit the inside point like that on almost any table that is a miss. When you hit the outside point and it spits out thats a different story.

Pro cut is usually 4.5 inch right? This table is supposedly 4.25 inch cut. There have been a lot more sloppy balls made because of how loose the pockets are playing than balls missed that were because of the table and not nerves. There is a Gold Crown at my pool hall that is just under 4" but if you get it in the jaws it will rattle in more often than not. There is also a 4.25" Diamond that "plays tighter" because balls rattle and stay up. New felt and TV lighting help the balls drop.

I'd bet the table is a standard Pro Cut. The commentators don't know what they are talking about in any event half the time.
