It's amazing what modern medicine can do now a days. Hope all went well with the surgery. Had mine in February and the worst part is the leg where they got the veins. Takes over a year for that to heal they tell me.

The worst part, or maybe the most enjoyable, was the full body shave by a lovely young nurse prior to surgery.

A lot of pain the first three days and the funny part was that trying to sleep in bed was impossible and had to sleep in a chair. Just tell him to hang in there and hopefully in a couple weeks he will be up and around again.

I wish him the best.

sorry to hear the news! good luck Tim!! I know a little of what he's going through, but would not want to go through THAT. may GOD be with you TIM!! I hear he's really a nice guy should I ever get to talk to him. his cues are beautiful. he'll get through this. I have faith! just listen to what your doctor's say Timmy, and things'll get better!

Nowadays they have endoscopic vein harvesting where they no longer make a long cut up and down the leg. The EVH uses 2-4 small incisions where they snake a camera and cutting tool through. I've heard (not experienced) that recovery is much quicker. I've also heard the worst part of CABG surgery is the vein harvesting procedure (the old way not the new way). BTW, I work in R&D with one of the major players in cardiovascular surgeries and we just came out with an EVH that is selling like hotcakes.

I hope Mr. Scruggs has a successful and speedy recovery! Especially since I want one of his sneaky petes!

Just got an e-mail from my friend Dan Janes, he says Tim is doing good and all went well. He's in recovery doing just fine, and should be home in a few days.

Tim,

Hope you get better real soon. I want to come down to the shop again, we can play some pool, your choice of game and you can show me some more magic tricks. Take care...

Tim's so lucky to be living in a time where his life can be saved by such things. May he recover fully.

Ghost ball: Is yours a publicly traded company?
