Hi, my name is Oscar Dominguez and looking to sell a Tim Scruggs cue. I bought it off a friend of mine that purchased it from someone in the Chicago area. The cue was used as a daily player, but was refinished about 3-4 years ago by Ariel Carmeli. After losing a money match, I helped my friend out by buying it and holding on to it. Now he doesn't want it and I got too many cues so its for sale.

The cue has been in a case at my house for the past 3-4 yrs in I'd say 80-85%. The cue has a finish nick around one of the points and in 8 locations on buttcap. Very minor stuff, but noticible under very close inspection, all in finish btw. The cue is a birdseye maple forearm, with 4 ebony points. Ivory joint, 3-8 by 10. In each point there is a silver diamond. B&W irish linen. Delrin buttcap (by Ariel) after my friend busted the ivory buttcap at a tournament after he missed an easy shot. The buttcap has 2 ivory rectacangles and two sets of "triple diamonds." The larger middle diamond is silver, while the 2 surrounding diamonds are gold. Two matching shafts with ivory dashed ringwork at A B C D E. NOTE: Because of Ariel putting on a buttcap, there is no Tim Scruggs logo. It is a Scruggs though, I hope I have street credit :) But I planned on sending it to Tim, but never got around to it, never wanted the hassel I guess. Looking to get around 2000 or best offer.

Well, if there are any questions feel free to contact me via PM or cell for more pics or whatever. Thanks. Oscar Dominguez, yes, Ernesto's son. 818-325-7652

Cant find my digital caliper to save my life but I got one of those diameter boards. Shafts are very close to 11.7 and 11.5 from where the wood and ferrule meet. Ivory ferrules. One moori and one triangle (or the like, Elk, lepro) with fibre pad. Thanks for looking everyone. Peace. Oscar

Oscar,

Can you bring the cue to Good Times this Sat. if you are in town? I would like to see it.

Thanks,

Russ...

Great guy to deal with

Oscar is a great guy to deal with, I would never hesitate make any deal with him any time.:D :D

Thx guys. Check PM flyingsnail.

Ribdoner, thx for the approval. Ya know, I saw a cue from Tim with that same exact rectangle figure with other inlays on Ebay. I wish I woulda saved the pics. But never knew my friend would not buy it back from me in the end.

Found my caliper: Shaft #1: Tip (where ivory ferrule meets wood)= 4.45 (11.303mm)

Shaft #2 Tip= .459= 11.6586

Taking offers, no trades though please...

Any additional q's let me know. Thanks again everybody

Silver and Gold

Call Timi and see if that thing is inlayed with silver and gold. It looks like a catalog cue with the inlays being the little added differance so to speak. It may just be a 1 of 1!
Nice!
Nick :)

Price Reduction!!!

Nick, I actually got a confirmation from Ariel Carmelli's intern that the cue was indeed inlayed with silver and gold (as Ariel refinished the cue). Also talked to my friend whom I got the cue from and he confirmed the same thing. But I emailed Tim and am awaiting his response which is most important.

I'm letting the cue go for 1750 shipped...

Thx Corey. This is the last bump. Just got an email confirmation by Mike Cochran that the cue is indeed a 1 of 1 and 14k gold inlays. I will send a copy of this email to whomever decides to take this puppy home.

After this, its back to my storage case. lol

here is the copy and pasted version:

Hi Oscar,
The inlays are indeed 14 kt. gold. It is a 1 of 1 cue that was made about in 93-96.
Have a great day, Mike Cochran

Do you think TS would be willing to put his logo back on the cue since he didn't repair it? thanks,Jim

Good question Jim, I dont know. It never crossed my mind to ask. If your a local I dont think it would be a problem, or your having some type of work being done to it so it would be worth his time. I doubt he would not do it because I did get confirmation by Mike Cochran that it was one of his cues. Im sure Tim can distiguish his cues easily and it wouldn't be a problem.

To be honest, I figured whoever bought the cue would probably send it to Tim for a new buttcap or engraving. Maybe add a 13mm shaft or two ($225) so they can have a really sweet 1 of 1 TS cue for about 2200, which is pretty fair in my opinion, with the logo and all 4 shafts.
