Sorry to do it this way but I promised someone on another thread I would post this picture collage I made of this cue during my vacation and damn If can remember what thread that was 😂 It’s seriously the most beautiful cue I’ve ever owned. I could not get this out any place I had it without having people begging to buy it .

It’s a six point ebony which I’ve been told is very rare for a Scruggs . Everything you see thats white is ivory including the joint protectors . The silver was all sterling silver. Also had ivory ferrules. Why did I sell it if it was so amazing well.. I stopped playing with it because I could never get used to the soft compression you get from ivory ferrules and though I’m not poor I’m not someone that’s going to sit on something people were offering to double my investment and just let it sit in a case. Like a classic car it needs to be seen and used.

Man I forget what that had but it wasnt your typical Scruggs joint and it came loose a lot . I got into the habit of alway giving it a little turn to make sure it was tight.

I hear you about the soft hit of the ivory, but you could have just gotten another shaft with a different ferrule.
I have a Hills cue with an ivory joint sleeve that had a rather soft hit with his shafts, it played better with a 314 shaft and with a CF shaft it just hit sweet.

Well I played with a lambros and decided it played 100x better and that was more important then looks to me
I can tell you it wasn’t that. I had more then 1 Scruggs and it was a different joint then the rest

I'd think that cue got a big pin that threaded directly into the joint.

Fabulous cue, btw. I bet it was a pita to own!

I’ll have to talk to the gentlemen I had bought it from. I’m sure he will remember. He’s a flipper and tends to remember these things and he talked about the difference when I was looking at it.

My guess is big pin due to the white stuff or possibly 5/16-14, Tim's standard joint.
