Tip covers?

I just noticed that Ralf placed tip covers over his break and playing cue before putting his cues away.I have seen players spin the tips on the carpet and wipe them off with a towel and even put them away dirty(yuck).
This is the first time I have seen these.

I was doing some searching for tip covers and came across these recently, i like em will probably grab a handful

I initially had one (easily solvable) problem with these. They fit so snugly removal is difficult due to suction. Drilling a small hole in the side of the top took care of that.

They worked quite well after that.
