I searched for it and didn't find it, anybody have the link?
I know Muellers published it at one point, but can't find it on their site either.

Pooldawg uses a shore A which I and several others think is the wrong choice based on the weak pressure applied and the foot profile... I have one around here somewhere and the results were never consistent even using the dwell method which is my method of choice using the shore D.. I think the old mueller chart used shore D and there is a brief rating chart on the bottom of this page which is more inline with my testing as well....

4.5 points between Samsara and 100... Ummm no way no shape no how... Thats the main issue using the A... Different phenolics can run anywhere between 90-105 all of them will be over 100 using the A scale is ludicrous as the Samsara rates 95.5 LOL...

The other thing is the A will give higher readings depending on how the tight the surface of the tip is since it will not push thru the outer surface in many instances..... Note that pooldawg has the triumph at 92.... Baroni's number is more accurate once the spring pressure sets the tip at 74-78

Youtube tip hardness testing and you will find someone testing Kamui's with a shore D... He goes into more specifics on Shore A vs D if you can find the right one....

aside from hardness, do any of you guys also consider the tip's elasticity/flexibility? there are soft tips that sometimes dont go back to their original shape after a miscue or a hard hit. this also happens with hard tips.

Hardness alone doesn't tell the whole story of the tip...

COR/Resilience/Elasticity/Energy transfer has a huge bearing in the differences between tip makers....

Add to that the grip... Chalk should make all tips almost equal on that front but it sure doesn't seem that way.....

Then we have people that require a certain sound or no sound at all....

Mushrooming and glazing? How much is too much??

I am working on offering more grades so the Ki-Techs fit more people but I am in no way trying to fool myself into thinking I can fit everyone... IF you find a tip that works well for you and holds up over time there is no sin of sticking with it..
