Tip hardness charts are unreliable

I like the hit of soft tips and I always played with elkmaster and mori soft. Unfortunately mori tips aren't available anymore and I have played with elkmaster tips. Unfortunately they need a lot of maintenance and mushroom very easily. So I was looking for a LL tip as soft as elkmaster but with the benefits of multy layered tips. I looked online for an hardness chart and I tried Davinci soft, kamui black and brown ss and other tips supposedly as soft as the elkmaster. No way the tips I mentioned are nearly as soft as elkmaster. The Davinci plays like a rock, kamui are hard, I miscue very often and also need a lot of maintenance, after some play they become unplayable.
So, what are my options?

Longoni Blue Soft is the softest layered tip that I know of.
Still not as soft as an Elkmaster. However, if you miscue "very often"
with a Kamui Brown and Black SS then the tip probably isn't your
biggest problem.

Any layered tip should be ok and change them every year like I do.

I find that leather gets hard over time and it needs to be changed.

One quick solution is to dip the tip in water to get it soft and then chalk it regularly.

I miscue more often with a kamui. Other players have similar problems.
I rarely miscue using other tips. Anyway, I play three cushion billiards, so I use extreme side more often than in pool.

I need to correct my statement about the blue soft, the Ultraskin Pro is even softer.
May I suggest you try that?

I might try it, is available in Europe?
edit: can you please share the hardness chart you are looking at?

Can't agree with that. Kamuis glaze like mad, nothing to do with stroke. Besides, many players aren't good enough to miscue.

Hi Thaiger, how are you?
I really believe kamui tips are the worst tips in the market
