My tip is starting to come loose from my ferrule... I'm going to have it re-tipped probably later this week. But, I'm wondering, as a temporary fix, can I just put a little superglue under there to secure it for the time being? Is there a better way? Is superglue a bad idea?

Not a bad Idea, and it should work with no problem. If I were you I would use Super Gel because it will give you a Little time to clean-up before it drys. First you want to use masking tape to protect your ferrule, cover the ferrule right next to the tip, then pull the tip back and apply the super glue gel under the edge. Next wipe off the excess, and with the shaft attached to the cue turn the cue upside down and apply even pressure to the tip for a count of 40. The excess will be forced out and the tip will be adhered, now remember in most cases this is only a temporary fix.

If you have a steady hand, you can pull the tip, sand both the ferrule and tip and replace it. If you miss centering the tip though, you'll have a terrible time playing

Either way, you're sure to get superglue on your fingers. I suggest picking up a house cue until you get it retipped.

But let us know if a temporary fix does the trick. It might come in handy for someone down the road.
