Tip right?

I have two willard's tip tools..one nickel one dime.. I want to get good shape on my tips but not dime all the way.. a little short ..lets call it 7.5 cent...how do i ensure an even curve all the way around the tip?.... BTW the willards are the only thing I have handy, out side of regular old sandpaper..

The curved notch on the side of the willard is a gauge. Put the tip of your cue in there and rotate to see how close you are to the desired shape.
