Tipping your host.

I never understood why people go to the house guy and expect "good action" why would they want you to walk out with the cash unless maybe you knew the guy. My method is to just throw up the balls and shoot wild at at bout 75% speed. They will come. Also always take peoples numbers for return trips. Act like a gentleman will t most times give you that in kind.

For sure, but only if you win.
Or you could be the average cheap SOB and make some excuse to not do the right thing.

Always tip, it'll make you a welcome face. The only bad game is one you cant adjust, as long as you can maneuver your in a good spot, if you cant then its not your game and it has nothing to do with the house-man.

I do not look for or want action...but definitely tip if I had fun in the room.

tip if he does something especially for you. dont if he does it for himself. as in all tipping situations.

most housemen are low paid and dont know much about pool let alone gambling. usually if you want action and ask they call the best player they know. as that is how their thinking goes.

next time ask if any not so good players are around that gamble some. or just watch for ten minutes and you can see for yourself.
