Tips for REVO shafts. I've tried Talisman Trinity

I have one Revo 12.9 with a standard Predator Victory soft tip and another 12.9 with a Kamui Soft Clear. To put it bluntly, the Kamui tip sucks. I liked them on my 313-3 and i-core i3 shaft, but on the Revo they suck... The hit sound is klunky and it I have no feel for the spin. The Victory soft tip is the way to go, but I am going to try a Soft Kamakazi on the shaft that has the Kamui tip on it. I like the price and feel of Kamakazi tips on most of my shafts.

Thanks, I'm going to re-tip with the Victory soft tips.

There is no magic tip . It all depends on what you like. I put a super soft pro ultra skin on mine and didnt have them replace the red pad that was under tip and I thought it played much more consistent. But thats my game..not yours.

Yes, the tip replacement must retain the red pad underneath of the warranty will be gone. I have no idea what it would play like without it.. If it's damaged the shaft must be sent to Predator as they will not send out the red pads.

Honestly man it’s a $500 shaft. I used to spend 1000s on cues so it’s not expensive to me. I like the way it plays better with out the pad and thats all that matters.

I had not heard that before.

Honestly, if your gonna give advice, make sure it's not advice that will void the warranty of a product.
Predator clearly states that the V-tek silencer pad must be used, Predator even specifies a minimum thickness for the V-tek pad.

I gave no advice.. I SAID THAT’S WHAT I DID.. I didn’t say he should do it. Everyone is a grown up here. Not children. Do what you want. Again it’s a $500 shaft..if thats that much money that your worried about the warranty you probobly should have saved your money.

Just got my Revo yesterday (12,4). I got to play about 3 hours with it and have to say, for me, that Victory soft tip is perfect. I normally use medium tips on all my shafts (Z3) but with the stiffer Revo shaft, the soft tip seems to balance out the hit that I am used to. Nice to know I won't have to change my tips if I decide to stay with the Revo shafts. Also, I got use to the yellow tan tip and ferruless shaft pretty fast.
Can't wait for Predator to put out the 11.8mm Revo shaft I've been hearing about.

I agree with you. I had the Victory soft tips put back onto them and I like it.

Zan premium soft... They hold up well over time... The talisman trinity is about a half grade min harder than advertised but if you made it to the last 3rd before it got too hard but you are winning way more than you know...

I needed to replace a tip on a REVO (I had a few Victory soft tips on order but had to wait for them). I got impatient and installed another Triangle. It plays like a champ. Hits well, No miscues. Slightly lost its shape but I simply trimmed it. Interesting that an $.85 cent tip on a $500 shafts plays fine in my book. I was going to remove it and put the Victory on but changed my mind. If it's working...let it keep working.
