Tips On Hitting CB Slow/Easy

Ok, on this shot here. Now let me preface this by saying that lets assume this is the only way to get on the 3B from the 2B. Please don't anybody say hit it different or take a different route. And the shot is using the measles CB on the 2B.

I have a hard time hitting this shot slow/easy with a little low left. And not just low left but low right too if the balls were on the other side of the table. I would have a hard time getting the CB to the spot where the plain CB is, which is straight in on the 3B.

Anybody got any tips here? At times I miscue because I hit it too easy. Other times I hit it too hard and go way back or over.

not sure if this is correct way or not, but those little touch shots like that I really shorten my bridge length to just an inch or two.

I THOUGHT I MADE IT CLEAR THAT DUE TO THE LAY OF THE LAND MY WAY IS THE ONLY WAY OF HITTING THIS SHOT????????

I JUST DIDNT WANT TO HAVE TO PUT ALL THE OTHER BALLS ON THE TABLE!!!!!

Easy/Slow and low left.

not an instructor

looks like you're right on the edge of needing draw
I would try hitting it firm but
let the cb drag down to the deuce
that way you get to stroke through the cb
but it won't be as quick coming back off the rail

You have to play with plenty of draw and side. The draw should almost disappear by the time the cue ball gets to the 2 ball and the side spin will bring the ball back. For me the hardest part is aiming nearly full at the 2 ball and letting the swerve bring the cue ball over for the right hit.

I think there is no real trick. You just have to practice the shot.

It might also help to look at the CB last.

The forward stroke during which the tip hits the ball, as opposed to warm-up strokes or practice strokes or feathering or fiddling.

I agree with Bob. My suggestion was for practicing this one shot - to gain confidence in hitting the CB accurately at slow speed.

I'm glad I asked..I would have been entirely wrong in guessing what you meant
personally, I *think* I'm cb last, but amn't sure, since I know the eyes work quickly
I don't seem to have much trouble hitting any particular shot the way I do
but I've admittedly still got much to learn
and am open-minded about things
of course have my own ideas about what seems to have come naturally to me
but I dug into some threads on the subject

You can't execute this shot with "a little low left", it's just not possible. The only way to hold the CB here is with extreme english. The stroke involved here is similar to what you'd use on a table length drag shot only softer and closer to center (on the vertical plane). Quarter inch or so below center. Go too low and you just can't generate enough left to get there.
It takes a good bit of practice to get proficient with this shot. Blending the correct speed and stroke is tricky and then adding the fact that the aim point on the OB is pretty far off makes it very difficult.
One good thing about the shot you have diagrammed is the closeness of the CB and OB. Move the CB another couple feet away and the difficulty greatly increases.
