Tips?

Directly from the forum main page under the words: CUE GALLERY

"This is the place to post pics of your cues. Are you proud of what you shoot with? Show us all what you have."

Learn to read. :D

I am looking to put a new tip on my shaft. Any recommendations on tips and why you prefer them? Thanks.

I'll copy and paste your same answer from another thread where a poster asked a question

"Is it really that important to know? I mean come on it won't make any difference in your game at all."

How can you sit there and say that the tip on your cue won't make a difference? Ask around and I am sure people will disagree with you it makes quite a difference.

everybody needs to lighten up! this guy is obviously fairly new to posting. this board has enough moderators to "police" the threads it doesn't need "whistleblowers" too.

Sean,
The purpose of this forum is for readers/posters to display pictures of their cues and/or pool-related equipment. Should you have inquiries regarding said equipment, there are other forums that may be considered more appropriate.
Eternally your comrade,
Brian

Now, I know you're just a young kid and some words with more than 6 letters confuse you, but this one is pretty remedial (simple).
So, that being said, I will try to dumb this down for you a little.

Sean,
This place is for you to have a 'show-and-tell' with your cue and other pool stuff. You show us your cue/pool stuff and tell us about it. Yay!
Now, if you would like to ask questions about pool stuff, you should ask it in another place where questions about pool stuff is meant to be asked.
Your pal,
Brian

Let me know if pictures are required.

I agree, it is a lot easier to just answer the question than try to berate because you don't approve where it was posted..

Now for the question, I like Tiger everest tips second would be Moori med.

The Tiger tip I have now has worked great for me. I seem to have a lot of control and the tip really holds the chalk well.

tips

Moori medium with a fiber pad for me. I like a softer tip but I play so much I just go through 'soft' tips too fast. The fiber pad softens up the hit of the medium tip and I can get about two months of play from it. Plus, I think the Mooris are very consistant and don't mushroom a whole bunch so it minimalizes tip maintanance. But you really just have to keep trying different tips to find what you like. I think a lot has to do with your stroke too. If you have more of a delicate stroke (long smooth strokes and use a lot of finesse/english to move the ball) I'd suggest trying a softer tip like an Elkmaster or similar. They are super cheap so it's not a big loss if you don't like it. If you have more of a punch type stroke then try something medium or harder. Sounds like you're on the right track though.. a lot of people don't even have a clue as to what kind of tip they use. Being consistant with your equiptment can only help you. Good luck man. My .02.

I like a nice set of tips...round and perky. Just about a handful or more is fine. Real or fake, doesn't matter so long as I get my hands on them....oh wait, you said "TIPS".....moori mediums.....LOL

Impressive stuff skins. Looks really nice. Where is this place located? I'm gonna have to go get me a chip as a keepsake.
