Titleist conversion

I have a couple of titleists that I am going convert. They are about .100"-.120" oversize. Do I need to turn these down in stages before I connect the handle or can they be turned down faster because of the age? These are the first I have done and already have handles turned close to final size ready to use.

Thanks for the help.

I've converted 10-15 Titlist cues and have not had one move. They are stable and you shouldn't have any problems turning them fast.

The veneers always have issues so a good sealer is important before clearing.

Thanks for your reply. What issues with the veneers are you talking about? I did a serch before I posted the question and did find to seal the points before turning to keep the veneers from ripping out and I did that. Are you saying the colors could bleed or just chip out.

I second the motion of using CA glue on the veneers before each pass as the glues used back then don't hold up so well . Veneers could rip out otherwise , really a bummer ...
