Titlist Conversion Question

Help again please.

I was asked if a titlist conversion cue I have was an American Titlist, an Asian Titlist, or a Japanese Titlist. Is someone messing with me? Or is there something to this question?

Brunswick quit building cues around 1963 and started having other companies build them for them. I think the last of the Titlist was made around 72 or 73 and most of these were made in Asia.

As far as I know, Schmelke and Adam, were the only ones other than Brunswick to make a titlist. Shmelke is often mistaken for a foreign company.

Thanks! Is there any way to tell the difference? I have a converted titlist and I am trying to figure out what it was converted from.

Thanks for all your help. So, adams were made in Japan right? Man I feel stupid, but you don't learn unless you ask, right?

Adam cues were/are made in japan. that one is from 1972ish. The adam taper was flattend out in the conversion, but the VERY distinct adam point style is still intact and with some comparison and familiarity, you will start seeing the different nuances that make them quite unique. this is a great example with the long points, and the lower portion coming to points so far up the forearm. and for the most part much more even points and the miters were generaly better centered. Schmelke made almost an exact duplicate of a Brunswick, but they are a bit different too.

The veneer colors in the Adam cues are also quite a bit different. The purple is nearly black, and the green is hunter green rather than teal.

The true Brunswicks had much shorter points.
 
Any thoughts on this one? Before picture....

For some reason I can't see the before picture, but judging from the after picture, it's definitely not an Adams, and is an older Brunswick IMO.
