Titlist conversion

I have a titlist I'm going to convert. It seems to be a very nice cue. The points are within an 1/8 inch of each other and are very sharpe for a titlist.
The base of the point toward the handle area are very nice too. The problem I'm having though is that the points are low in the cue and was wanting to put a nice leather wrap on it. The only way I can think of to put a normal size wrap and butt sleeve is to cut the cue below the points and add a handle. But this cue seems to be so nice I hate to cut it up. So I'm asking for your opinions on if I should leave this cue a wrapless and dress it up a little or cut it and put a handle in it so it can be wrapped? I just can't decide what I would like the best.

add a butt sleeve a longer one with some ring work to give your self some extra length, between a but sleeve and rings and a but cap you should have added well over 5 inches to the cue. just my idea

If you want to keep the full splice hit then do not cut it anywhere near the points. Instead cut off the back few inches to use for a matching butt sleeve and attach a short piece of wood to the end, then attach the cut off butt sleeve to that. There are several construction methods that will allow you to do that.

I agree to add on to the butt sleeve. This is often done to get more meat out of a joint to acquire more room for evening points up, but It would work to move the points forward too as others here have mentioned.

Wrapless all the way

Nice butt sleeve ya done there how you matched up the grain from top to bottom...

Thanks. The easiest way I know to get them match is to take the rings off off the same piece of wood. Part one ring off of the front before cutting the windows, then take the other piece off afterward. It's not always perfect after facing, but It helps to keep them close, and get a better match.
