Thank you all for the great stories and wonderful comments.

This has been a great experience and I am having trouble choosing a recipient, so what I have decided to do is take the names of all the candidates and put them in a hat and do a blind draw for the cue. There are so many deserving people that I can't just pick one so a drawing it is. I will draw the name Thursday afternoon so if you are interested in this cue and have a story to tell please pm me.

Thanks again for the warm reception this thread has gotten.

All the best,
Clint

Holy Cow!

Clint just sent me a pm, as I put my wife's name in the hat for the cue. He said that she won the cue!

I am about to cry because money has been really tight for us and I have been wanting to get her a cue so she can learn to play better. I also want to take her up to Randy's pool school so she can get some instruction and her and I can play. She really wants to be able to practice and play with me once we get our den finished and my table back up.

Clint you don't even know how awesome this is sir! thank you so kindly for this gesture and I assure you that the cue will get used. She is not going to know what to say! I plan on wrapping it up and surprising her with it.

Man I still can't believe she was drawn! Wow! Thank You and God Bless you!

Congrats! Great story, and a great gesture.

I was going to update this thread earlier today after I drew the winner but I got slammed at work. I want to thank everyone for their wonderful stories and pms. I wish I had 25 cues to give away.

I know the cue is going to a good place with wonderful people. That is what this whole thing was about and it has been a really fun experience.

Outstanding gesture. Congrats to the winner!!

Thank you and after hearing some of the stories I am not sure we are the most worthy winners! I know a lot of people been down on their luck lately, and some of stories here are real heart tuggers.

Again I just want to thank easymoney and poolfool for the give away and this will start my wife and I too many years of dueling on the table! LOL

A few years ago when my step son turned 18 I gave him my first cue. It was a mcdermott that was in perfect condition. Not the most expensive but it was a great cue with 3 different shafts. I also gave him my first mcdermott break/jump cue. I bought a cheap 2x2 case for him to put it in. And he was thrilled when he saw it. So I know the feeling about giving an inspiring player a cue to start with.

I do believe when we get better financially situated at the begining of next year I am going to look to give a cue to someone else too. Pay it forward so to speak. I see easymoney has sparked someone else to do this already, and I think this is great!

God bless and best of rolls to everyone!

Congratz to the recipiant of the cue and case, and also kudo's to a great gesture to the giver's of the cue.

easymoney1- Karma will return your great gesture ten fold.

poolfool - Good of you to enhance this awesome give-away.

RBLily Enjoy and remember to give when you can. I know you will pay it forward one day.

Regards

Well Clint was awesome on the speed of shipment, the cue has been on my office desk since Monday, but I didn't get into the office until today. I opened up and it is a very nice starter cue for my wife. It reminds me of my first mcdermott cue that I had. Very nice cue for my wife to learn to shoot with. Thank You again Clint for such an awesome deal!

Teenage girl, could use some self esteem, kindness...

There is a family that lives near me and their sons both died in seperate events within a year of each other. The younger sister, who is around 14 or 15 years old, has been cutting herself and is reportedly in the hospital from that. I am told she is going to stay about an hour away with her aunt who is a great lady. The aunt has a pool table in her home. I know that maybe you would like the cue to go an up and coming player, but if this story touches you I would like you to know about her. She is extremely poor. Before I came along, their trailer had a dirt floor - and that was the nicest feature. She is not an unattractive girl, but she struggles with her weight. She is shy, timid, and gets teased a lot. And after losing her big brothers as protectors she is seriously losing the will to go on. I can absolutely say that getting the cue would make a huge difference to her life, and I doubt she will get much for Christmas. If you think she is deserving, I will give you contact information and her name, as well as contacts of people who can verify that this story is true. The mother had cancer, and the girl's sister and cousins both had babies with heart defects within months of each other. So the girl gets almost zero attention at a critical time. If you choose to give the cue to her, I will provide a case and accessories. PM me if interested. This is for real.

oops, shoulda read whole thread....

I thought I had read all the thread and that this was still a pending giveaway. Since you gave this away already, I am giving this girl my spare cue, a nice looking Lucasi sneaky pete. If one of you feels like giving her a case or something, I will give you the contact info by PM. She really has an uphill battle in life and anything at all will make a huge difference. I have never seen a family with so much tragedy....
