To show or not to show?

This coming SBE is the first show where we are going to have a decent amount of our cases on display.

Everyone has been working really hard to get them done and we have a lot of nice ones. I have already sold a few that I would have liked to have had at the show.

My natural inclination is to show them off here and take reservations to be delivered at or after the show.

Karen thinks we should not show them until the show.

What do you all think?
 
I vote for here, just because I am insanely interested in seeing them!

and I wouldn't be at the show...

I would like to see them but if you show them you may sell them and have nothing left to show at the SBE. It is also wise to listen to the wife. :wink:
 
Sell them all here.
Go to the show, enjoy yourself and return with new orders.

I don't mind how you do it, John....just make sure a fancy Butterfly case is put to one side for me...shoulder strap on the right shoulder :) Sanjay Varma or little Kenny will pick it up for me.

If we can't get round to finishing the commission, I will buy off the peg :grin:

Why not post the pics and have them for sale at sbe, not like you can not make them again. But if you have a new line of cases you could wait to unveil it then.

I think u shld have as much cases as u can muster at the show. U can always post pictures here later and interested peeps will order them anyway.. Correct me if i'm wrong but i feel that there will be many people there who don't frequent az forums, so you might miss out on that group of people

Show them here, take first serve to VF deliveries, and ship those other cases after Valley forge that would be sold to non-attenders (also listen to your wife, coming from someone that has some wisdom in that department too)

That said...if it was me I would put them up so people could either buy them and pick them up at the show or maybe order one with design elements they like from the ones you post. Maybe state they can't be shipped till after SBE if someone wants to buy one.

Of course I'm single so I get away with all kinds of shit. Follow your gut.

:-) I would like to show them here and sell out before the show and still take them and put up a whole wall of cases with "sold" tags on them.

It's kind of a debut of sorts and Karen feels like it would be better to unveil some of them for the first time there. I think that she wants to experience people's virgin reactions at the show before hearing AZ's reactions prior to the show. She has worked so hard on some of these and so hard learning to color and design this past year I think that she deserves it.

Nice. Yours won't make the show because of the timing with the China Billiard Expo at the same time. The team who would do yours is tied up making enough cases for the new Fury line to allow them to have a display.

That's what I want to do. I think I might compromise and show them to some people who can pass the photos around without revealing them all on here.

:-) Karen said "show them if you want to be single with Justin". Actually she laughed and said "do what you want" which in wifespeak usually means what you want should be what I want.

Thanks everyone for the advice. Still hesitating on pulling the trigger. Maybe I will take some teaser shots as a compromise.
 
Well, the decision has been made. We shipped 25ish cases today and while I took some quick pix they are terrible. So won't be showing those. We are finishing up 4-5 more cases that we will hand carry and maybe I will show those off.

It feels kind of exciting to be getting back in the saddle again.

In addition we will have a couple butterflies, couple high end tooled ones, a fancy flame case, a couple nylon prototypes, couple other prototypes and a few Louis Vuitton cases. Just kidding on the LV cases BUT yesterday I was at the LV store in NYC on 5th Ave and I have to say......y'all are FLAT STEALING from me for the prices we charge for what we give you.

Karen bought a bag for here friend from Prada for $1930. I might have that bag at the show so you all can make your own comparisons and see for yourself why you are getting a TON of work for the money.
