To wrap or not to wrap...

I quite like playing with a linen wrap on my cue. I feel that I am able to grip more lightly and have a better feel for what I'm doing. I've heard that some 'A' players (of which I am not!) achieve a lighter grip without a wrap. I'd be interested to hear about your experiences...

There recently was this same question with a poll. If you search I believe "no wrap" won the poll. Mark me for no wrap.;)

No wrap or a nice leather wrap. Linen is to slick unless you like a slip shot.

Thanks for the poll information.

This leads me to another but related question..

Do the world's best players generally have a wrap on their cue? Or does this vary greatly between players?

I really think I get more feel with no wrap. I become one with the cue. But while riding a bike, I like to have one with a seat. By the way, are you wearing contacts? Thats my new thing, spotting people with contacts. I used to spot people with glasses but I just got too damn good at it.
