I purchased the TOI DVD but still do not know where to look at the last second when shooting. Do I just look at an angle, a spot on the cue ball, etc., or where?

Are you lining up CTC and CTE or are you using your own aiming system?

If you're lining up CTC/CTE, you're lined up. Look at the object ball as a whole and pull the trigger. The point is to not aim at the object ball, but instead to line up correctly. You shouldn't have to make an adjustment when you're down and re-aim.

CJ's drill where he gets down and no-strokes before firing reinforces this setup. It lets your natural aiming process come into play. Just give your mind the correct info to do the calculations and get out of the way. Looking at the object last is part of the total picture.

just aware of the "object ball's presence," more than than looking at a specific spot

I'm just aware of the "object ball's presence," more than than looking at a specific spot. No matter what, you want to hit it as if you've already made it, so in that respect you can look at whatever "fits your eye".

I'm more particular about watching the object ball go into the pocket, and trust that my aiming has already been completed above the ball (to connect the CB/OB) and my attention is on the tip/cue ball relationship.
