I'm not in Tokyo but if someone makes it all the way up to Niigata City then we can play a set or two at my place

Thank you!Wow, this must be one of the best looking home table setups I have ever seen. Well done!
What he said!!Nice Daytona on the wall lol.
In fact, nice everything you got there.
Most helpful - thanks!Just got back from a trip in December. As far as proshops, Cue-shopJP stocks the inventory at Billiard Rosa in Ikebukuro. I ordered a few supplies from them, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to do this if you don't read/write Japanese. I placed my request with them and they made sure the order was at Ikebukuro when I was going to be in Japan. I've also gone to proshop-usa which is in Shibuya. Bagus in Shibuya also has a small supply section and I'm assuming all of there other locations do as well.
As far as playing, Bagus is pretty convenient and easy to find. Rosa in Ikebukuro is also easy to find. There are several smaller, more serious rooms but I'm not sure how easy it would be to find them or to get a table without knowing someone that plays there.
With a setup like that, you certainly make a trip to Niigata appealing!I'm not in Tokyo but if someone makes it all the way up to Niigata City then we can play a set or two at my place

What dates in October? Might be there alsoBringing this thread back to the top. Headed over in October. Anyone have recommendations on getting an Exceed or Mezz cue while there?
Given my limited experience of Tokyo in June, I didn’t come across any brick and mortar stores for buying cues. And in the pool halls that I did visit, there were a couple of cues in display cases but mainly tips and accessories.Bringing this thread back to the top. Headed over in October. Thanks CarlGiven my limited experience of Tokyo in June. I didn’t come across any brick and mortar stores for buying cues. And in the pool halls that I did visit, there were a couple of cues in display cases. Just mainly tips and accessories.
Population of Tokyo is 12M !! (In comparison NYC is only 8M.) Including The Greater Kanto area (Yokohama incl) the population blows up to 35M. It's massive !!
Currently, THE EXCHANGE RATE IS PHENOMENAL, in our favor !! USD 1 = Y 150
Food, Lodging, CUES are at 35% discount from what it use to be.
But as another member stated, GO WITH AN OPEN MIND AND GO ENJOY THE COUNTRY. There's much to see.
Marty Freidman, Mega Death guitarist has been living there for 25 years...
Do some research on Internet and have fun.

I recently bought a Brand New MEZZ CP-21 W (cheap model) off of Mezz Cue USA website. (Refer to Website for details.)
I paid $680 out the door. NO TAX. NO SHIPPING. And I'm very happy with it.
I'm going to guess MEZZ has a SOLID Distribution Network established in Japan. (Retail Network that is.) So it might be difficult to "jump over them" and buy Wholesale especially for ONE CUE. Keep my pricing info in mind and compare prices before you buy.
BUT.... Japan might have Certain MEZZ Models ONLY available in Japan. (SAME WITH TOYOTA AUTO's)
Either ways EXCHANGE RATE should be favorable for you.
Once you get over to Japan, pull up a Website.... or ask around for additional info.
Train and Subway system is best in the world.
HAPPY HUNTING !! Enjoy your time over there ... Lots of Europeans, Aussies, Canadians and Americans over there.
The FOOD is exceptional
