Hi,

Here is Tommy Karabatsos's new Esoteric Cue "Full Cored Player" with a 1960s GE Micarta Ferrule and Kamui Tip he just picked up tonight.

Tommy is a Chicago native and Pro Pool Player that I have known for almost 40 years and he has been placing in the money in world tournaments of late on his return to competitive pool. For many years he was a student and is a great friend of Dallas West and he is a killer straight pool and one pocket player but plays all the games.

Tom has been getting very serious about his game again and is playing all the time in tournaments and action. Over that last 30 years Tom has been the singular biggest promoter of Pool in the Midwest and opened Cuephoria, Cue Can Do, Cue & You, On Cue, and G-Cue Billiards in the Chicagoland area.

When we were young men I remember Tom driving to Rockford every Saturday to learn his straight pool magic from 2 time US Open Champion Dallas. After a few years of this dedication to his game I personally witnessed Tommy get over the hump when he ran his first 100 ball plus run to join that elite club. It is exciting to see him get back to his old form and I hope this new player I built for him helps him get to the top of his game again.

There is a standing line in Chicago by those who know him well that Tom is the best Greek Pool Player in the world........................... I bet he wishes he was Philippino! :groucho:

Tommy picked up the cue at Midnight on Sat and won The WSOP 8 Ball Tournament Sunday night winning 4 matches and only losing one game of a race using his new cue. While I understand that simultaneous temporal events does not denote causal effect, I am hoping this is a start of a trend for him with this cue. It's alway good to start with a win.

He adjusted to Ray's war club shaft taper and said he found it rather easy to make some shots by throwing them into the pocket and credited the shaft action.

I live to hear that stuff.

That is a great win for him, and for the cue. That is awesome, and congrats to the both of you!

Great cue for a great straight pool player. I took lessons from Tom about a year ago. He def knows the game. Good shooting Tom!
