Nascar’s Tony Stewart Puts Indiana Home on the Market for $30 Million, Making it the State’s Priciest Listing
The ranch is located outside Mr. Stewart’s hometown of Columbus.
Even the bowling balls are billiard numbers.
He’s friends with a great bank player
I was scrolling down to say the same thing about his cue purchases at The Derby. I don't remember the guy's name but I remember talking to the vendor who sold him the cues. If I remember correctly, he bought cues for a bunch of his buddies. The first year he went to Derby with Shannon he bought something like 30-40,000bux worth of cues. Couldn't help himself. Jack Justice made him an awesome case with 'SMOKE" tooled into it. Tony got the bug at my home spot, Magoo's in Tulsa, when he came to town for the Chili Bowl midget races. They'd stay open late just so him and his posse could play late. Good guy. He now runs he Chili Bowl event.
IIRC he spread it around. I think either Cornerstone or Recollection sold him a few at big prices.I was scrolling down to say the same thing about his cue purchases at The Derby. I remember working 80 hour weeks and 14 day weeks, but I never worked more than 250 days per year. Most successful people in work long hours, live with they do for living 24 x 7 x 366.
Some of those guys make well over a million a week with sponsor money etc. Probably a few are making $2M/week or $100M/year.Guess NASCAR racing pays well, fruits of hard work.

When Dale Sr. died he was making over 1million A MONTH in goody sales alone(t-shirts,etc). His wife Teresa was the one that saw the potential in all the trinket sales. Dale Jr. raised that bar even higher. He's worth around 500mil. I don't think any make 2mil/week. Big boys make around 15-18mil/yr salary plus the goody sales which can be REALLY juicy. Some of those guys make well over a million a week with sponsor money etc. Probably a few are making $2M/week or $100M/year.
I knew one nascar drivers brother. The driver was Dick Trickle he was making millions a year back in the 90’s I don’t think he ever won a race. We always had good seats at the races in Vegas for a few years.and hot pit passes some years. That was pretty cool

Yes at least that much. Dick was making 600-700/year on merch and he wasn’t know outside of nascar. The merch was his primary source of income. When Dale Sr. died he was making over 1million A MONTH in goody sales alone(t-shirts,etc). Dick Trickle also had a cigarette lighter installed in his race car so he could smoke under cautions. He was a good old boy from Wisconsin. He had everyone at the Milwaukee Mile on their feet one year because he was leading the Busch race with 10 laps to go, then he spun exiting T4 on the penultimate lap.Yes at least that much. The ad revenue on his car covered the nut to keep the car on the trwck and cover payroll. His salary was $400k/year best I can recall. I’m going back a long time was 97-98 when I heard this. He was making around $1M/year then. I remember my first year I made a M was 99, I remember thinking I made about what he did. Jeff Gordon was making 30M/year then. And lots more 3-4 years later. Dick retired. His brother owned a printing company in Vegas, we were one of his largest accounts. That’s who told me Dicks numbers. Chuck trickle
Now that you mention it, I remember it was Cornerstone that I spoke with. Man, I miss the old Derby days at the Executive West.IIRC he spread it around. I think either Cornerstone or Recollection sold him a few at big prices.
Yes, surprising money for the NASCAR level drivers with national sponsorship. My daughter taught Bill Elliot's daughter in school. The money volume was astonishing even back then. Sadly, the life style of the race scene with all of the drunks and filthy immorality of the fans and groupies is difficult on the family. He ended up rich but divorced and without his kids. It is little different from the "Rock and Roll" scene. Some of those guys make well over a million a week with sponsor money etc. Probably a few are making $2M/week or $100M/year.

I know a NHRA girl who’s worth a B, she has the $2.5M motor coach with pop-outs on both sides. She flys from race to race and uses that as her weekend crash pad while preparing for the races. She lives in Texas, the minute she can leave the race she jumps in her jet-flys to Texas. The team moves the whole show to the next venue and she shows up when necessary. For her it’s fun, how couldn’t that be fun if you didn’t like it? But wow the money it costs.Yes, surprising money for the NASCAR level drivers with national sponsorship. One fellow I grew up with is in a band many here know. He takes his wife and children wherever he goes and they live as a family as if they were full time RV'ers. They have been married for over 30 years and happily so. It can be done, but it's a challenge. Home schooling the kids on the road and living on a bus 6 months out of the year. Granted, it's not so bad when you have a 7 figure bus and a full time crew to drive it for you though.![]()
I gotta rebuttal on the Bill Elliot thing. He's been married for probably 30 years. His son Chase was the 2020 champion. Bill was with him coaching all the way up through the ranks. Bill and his wife are at many races together supporting their son.Yes, surprising money for the NASCAR level drivers with national sponsorship. My daughter taught Bill Elliot's daughter in school.
