Does anybody have a tooled It's George case? I only know of one ever being made. Can anyone share a picture of one? Please don't share rumors if you don't have a picture. I'm looking for actual documentation. Kinda like my my 1983 Corvette, or my 1971 Shelby. Man I should have taken some pics! lol Thanks!

Not a rumor I saw one in Arlington Texas Rustys. Had dragons tooled on it. Bigger Mexican guy who got cancer and passed. Can't remember his name but that case was awesome. He had it made.
Black in color and tooled all over.

Guy probably passed around 2006.

does this one count?

Jayman,
I have three tooled It’s George cases. When I read your post
I went to my case area, and ….yep…….three…..I might have one more…

That's a really cool case! did Mike do that or did you have it done? I really like it!
I just noticed the link. Is was that one of Nick's? way cool case! I love the George cases, and particularly the early ones with the diary style latch's.
I had one years ago with a small eight ball nine ball logo on it. I think it was a yin yang style imprint the more I think about it. Great case but not 'tooled'

Three? Three? I think you said three. What a tease! It's something you just don't see. I think they trump the exotic skins just by pure rarity. Three he says. Should we believe him??:unsure:

I bet that was a nice one. Dragons are always cool.
I have one with joss cues engraved on the lid. I’ve had it for 30 years . One of the few things I won’t get rid of. Not even sure where I got it this point.
Those are cool, I think half credit for that one

I like some of those used cues on his site. I wonder why you must be a dealer to purchase anything. That's the way it looked to me anyway.
Yeah Ive had a few of the NV cues and found them to be of much better quality than you might expect. It does appear that the sight is really only for dealers. Seems a bit odd to me too.

I bought the flaming 8-ball embossed It’s George from Joe at Styx Billiards on Dixie Highway many years ago. At the time Joe also had an embossed leather It's George case for sale that had a penniless gambler wearing nothing but suspenders and a wooden barrel. The leather on that case was also full grain cow hide like the case pictured above.
It was tanned/died the same chestnut color too.
(sorry no pic)

Why is your eight-ball on fire?

Does that suggest that it is moving fast? As in, seeing it would make an opponent second-guess his proficiency because it represents that you often not only get to the final ball, considering you are playing eight ball, but that you have such a high level of confidence and conviction that you are able to hit the eight ball with unnecessarily-high momentum to cause combustion in the local atmosphere, possibly introducing scorch marks and permanently damaging the cloth as a display of bravado, as part of the process you use to regularly win?

If so, then I understand.

So what you're saying is, pics or it didn't happen?!

Yea, let's see 'em!

Please?

The makers of It’s George cases (and cues) tell me they made only 30-40. Toolwork was done by a Richard Grimes, who might still be with us

Also, in case there was a reason to clarify, Mike Roberts didn’t build anything. He was the business mastermind but definitely not the hands-on builder. Wayne Anderson designed and built It’s George Cases for Mike. Wayne recruited Cozmo Gray, and the two not only built the cases, but they went on to build It’s George Cues under the initial tutelage of Bill Schick. Schick had his hands on the first dozen It’s George Cues for their first show, but that was it. There were no It’s George Cues wholly built by Schick, and there were no It’s George Cues built by Schick and Roberts.

Anderson and Gray left and eventually formed Bella Sera Cues. By that time, Mike Wheeler I believe joined It’s George. Today, Marc Palermo builds It’s George Cues.

Wayne Anderson says that this was tooled by Richard Grimes as well. The latch is what they called the Postage Stamp latch, and they had to switch when the latch manufacturer’s dies wore out.

Wow, Now that's just the kind of information that can so easily be lost forever if not shared. I would like to thank you for your invaluable post! Billiard history of all kinds gets fuzzy if it isn't fairly common knowledge. GREAT STUFF!
Tooled and stamped are very different animals, and even a stamped George's is not all that common.

Jayman,
Heres three tooled cases. The one on the left says Brunswick Billiards By George.
The other two say It’s George.
One time when Bill Schick was visiting our home I remember he said
he came up with “It’s George”, slang loosely meaning approval or it is finished.
I don’t know at all if Bill was accurate when he said that,
but I clearly remember him telling me and two others.
