I was in the Chat session when the posted dialog took place. There was some, by all appearances, good-natured woofing going on between the two, and then OMG left Chat. Immediately upon her leaving, the posted dialog took place...pretty much silenced the Chat Room, as many of us simply could not believe what we were reading on the screen! We all felt it was a pretty classless diatribe....I know that I left, as I did not wish to see anymore of this kinda crap coming up on my screen. It was like the whole thing came outta left field...as there was certainly no provocation on her part.
Cubc pretty much lost all respect from many of us that day...up until then, their online exchanges had remained as simple woofing. He crossed the line. IMHO...this went way beyond 'trash-talking'...this was his attempt at character assassination.

Woofing can range from friendly to unfriendly, but it deals with the skill of the involved parties and a little but of jibing (maybe something like "I knew you had no gamble" if you want to raise the bet, or in this case "you got the 7 for life") etc.
Trash-talking is similar to slander. You're personally insulting them with something about their personal problems or saying that they are mentally unstable.

cheesy lines aren't a crime now are they. and it's not really about respect he was interested and used a cheap line. if it had worked, worse lines have worked for me, we'd be calling him a genius.

I think one of the major underlying points is that none of us were there (that I know of) so we can't know for sure if cubc did send her those text messages or if she did ask him to come to her hotel room. It's all he said/she said that we can't confirm or deny. Who you believe is your choice. I understand that I don't know enough about either person and wasn't there to personally witness it so I am holding my judgment.

Since there's no way of ascertaining for sure who really said what behind closed doors, truth doesn't really factor in, just believability. Nonetheless, I cringed watching the match, it was painful watching him fold. ( I'm not saying I would have done any better under that kind of pressure, probably worse actually. But then, I wouldn't have done all that woofing and trash talking either. )

If you don't mind, I'm going to still hold my judgment seeing as how I wouldn't want to be judged by what little we know of the situation. In the same respect, I wouldn't judge anyone else off of what little I know about the situation and especially not off of any assumptions or gossip.
