Top 10 US 1P players

I can't believe no one has listed Rafael Martinez ... When he decides he wants to win, he is a steam roller ...

I saw that he did well at that tournament, he told me he got lucky. I know I can't beat him in anything, inlcuding pool cue negotiations.:)

Nick Varner used to be a pretty good one pocket player. Why doesn't he play anymore? He's about Efren's or Buddy Hall's age or so, and if they still play, why doesn't Nick? Is he retired?

ON THE BRINK...

Tadd
Vita
Lil John
Cone
SVB
Evans
Gaines (Armond)
Grey
Palmer

Breedlove

This up and coming list would make an interesting thread all on it's own...

Tough question, since it's tough for some of us to let go of the greats of the past that aren't really passed.

Nick Varner, Buddy Hall, Allen Hopkins, three guys who are three of the top one-pocket players of all time.

These three not withstanding, I'm not surprised, but some of you need to put Shawn Putnam on your list. IMO, it'd be ridiculous not to have him there.

Gabe Owens, Larry Nevel, T-Rex, Shannon Daulton, Corey Deuel, and Shawn Putnam head a list of today's top U.S. one pocket players.

Scott Frost, Cliff Joyner are, IMO, a cut above these guys. The DCC is too short of a race to show who's best. The fact that Efren wins year after year is testament how good he is, being able to beat a format that allows others to win more often.

You are right Fred, it is a tough one. That's why I wanted to see the lists. I figured there would be a huge difference in opinions...

This is from the DCC this year and that says a lot since the number one game played at DCC is hands down, one pocket.

Larry Nevel
Gabe Owen
Shannon Daulton
Francisco Bustamante
Darren Appleton
Alex Pagulayan
Tony Mougey
Ryan Stone
Efren Reyes

Is this list how they finished in the tournament or what?

Thanks
