Here's the true and correct list of the top bettors in the pit...

1. Scooter
2. Sparky
3. Tony Roberto
4. Joey Cutler
5. Ryan McCreesh
6. Shane.. ?

Honorable Mention - Sugar Shane - vanished into thin air, but should at least get a plug for being the loudest person USUALLY, and stacking it up

Honorable Mention - Jordy - surpisingly quiet this year... but hey there's always next year

Honorable Mention - other rail birds that REALLY make the PIT... there are a few that I never knew their names, but they are the ones that are that TRULY make or BREAK the pit

now... if anyone wants to add to this list or dispute it, I can honestly say, I was right in the MIDDLE of ALL THE action... as I was running that infamous list for 3 straight days... But i did feel credit should be given where credit is due.... before you going adding people to this list you must ask yourself, "has this person ever said 'heads for $100?'...?"--regardless of it being banned now...? if they have, then they deserve a plug too...

I will end on a positive note that the highlight of my weekend was Tony C. - T-REX and some other drunken people who shall remain nameless but made for some great entertainment.

I didn't spend much time around the pit, but everytime I passed by, there was some Asian girl, with a fist full of bills, right in the middle of the action.
I also think I saw the same girl playing in the ladies amateur tournament.
I have no idea who she was.

And the young, tall, skinny kid in the black and red Adidas outfit. When he wasn't playing in the 18 and under amateur tournament, he was right by those tables yelling out "I'll take the breaker!!" and taking anyone who bet against him.

I think there's another thread on the Main Forum about this topic which attracted quite a few eyewitness responders! :D

My vote goes for the tall tipsy stakehorse lady who was taking all bets and sometimes backing players.

I got a kick out of her tableside demeanor, and if she won a little chunkie, she'd tip the player who won it for her. Quite a few onlookers seemed to enjoy her enthusiasm. I think the tall tipsy stakehorse lady's spirit definitely complemented the atmosphere of the Valley Forge Pit this year. :p

That most likely is the same person. She seemed to be having a good time when in the pit.

I had heard she went to play somebody on Friday night. She appeared to me to be harmless when she was in the pit area. I thought she fit right in, and she was making some of the HIGHEST bets, generating some good action, which is always a good thing for the pit-goers. :D

Is that you Melissa darling ????

Hey, Frankie! :) You were in the pit quite a bit. Who do you think should get the 2006 Pit Award?

If not the tall tipsy stakehorse lady, it's gotta be Sparky, wouldn't you think? I think he made the biggest score when all was said and done. ;)

I remember seeing you with the list. I was placing some racker/breaker bets there, none were with you though. I was kinda quiet around the action table.

Hey who was that guy that was on the table for a while on Saturday night around 10-11. I beleive he was drinking Vodka and Rebulls, he was a younger looking guy, kinda looked like Sean William Scott from American Pie?

Man, how funny was it when that one black dude rolled up to the table with a cuetec that had hardly any tip on it. Man, I dont know what he was thinking, other then delusions of grandeur.

Don't wanna mention names in case I'm wrong, but isn't one of the guys on the list the kid from Boston that is so well known for the incident with money vanishing from underneath the table? If so, does it mean that all that bad publicity didn't do very much to kill his action after all? And he's hangin' in the pits with all the other pit soldiers at one of the better known billiard events in the US, as if nothing has ever happened?

if it was....

nothing was ever proven from that incident and from what i know he had nothing to do with it and it wasn't even his money.... but for all intensive purposes if people actually believed that then they wouldn't bet with him, regardless of the allegations, hes still great action and can play to back it up.

I had a lot of fun watching the action. By the way, JAM, thank for for saving a seat for me.:)

Here is a picture of this amazing Asian lady, with John Morra, and a few others in the pit.

After watching the action for a few hours, I could hear "$40 for the breaker..." in my sleep.

Are you questioning whether the $ actually went missing? Don't waste your letters.

You know that they were in Boston, in a room full of TR's homies, right?

We all know he can play- that is not up for debate- its the integrity factor that comes up a bit short.

Yes Jam, without a second guess Sparky takes it by far, we did not sleep.

Myself and "Sparkles" took it down.

We busted Luc alone for about 2 dimes, not to mention the rest of the chips we

got with the "Gennie" on our side, he is part of the team also.

"Red", the tall, skinny kid, was 18 year old Sean. There were a whole bunch of guys from our area down there that weekend and every one of them said the exact same thing!

"That 18 year old kid is turning into one real degenrate gambler!!!" :D

Needless to say, we were all so very proud!
