Top Fargo ratings from each state

Probably difficult to do, but sure would be a nice feature.

Should not be difficult if you have access to the data, the Fargo rating for the players has their state and some have the town listed, so all you need to do is go by that field and sort by number. You can probably even do a nice area map where you can find the best player within 50 miles of you. That may be fun to play with doing some data mining with maps. There is sample here done with populations, not too hard for even a beginner developer to code in pulling data from Fargo in place of the code in the sample https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/gallery/map

You illustrated how little I know about computers...it's all voodoo magic to me.

Click the left mouse button to move the pointer? Guess mine's outdated. ...
Buttons? Mice have ears, not buttons. When did buttons happen?

As for the OP, I think that would be a nice feature for the Fargo site as well. I mean rankings by state, not ears. Or buttons.

It might be a full time job to keep track of the state a player is currently living in.
.....or are American Tourister and Samsonite states?

I know Mike has the ability to generate this type of thing. For example, he has published a list of top Canadian players on the Fargo FB page a few times. I don't know why he hasn't decided to put that functionality into the search function (or maybe hasn't gotten around to it yet).

I think it can only be accurate if the players are actually paid members of an organization (like the USCF/FIDE) that keeps track of their addresses. But with the interwebz, physical addresses are going out of style. Maybe we could ask FacePlant to send in everyone's GPS location data real time.

I would like to see a chart that displays an individual's rating over the course of time, perhaps monthly points for a year, 3yrs and 5yrs.
