Top Pros...Going, Going, Maybe Gone

I saw this !

There are a few women players that Jean couldn't have won against. I personally think Corr, and both Fishers played better when all played in their prime. Jean had no competition. Does Karen Corr, Allison Fisher, or Kelly Fisher have another job other than pool?

I was with Scott Kitto back in the 1980's and saw Jean Balukis beat Steve Mizerak 11-0 in a tournament in Vegas or Reno. I can't remember which city for sure. I disagree, My opinion is she could beat any of them. Gary

cut loss and retool

We can and should be stand alone. All the reasons given so far are fear, and the longer we wait the more resources we will loose to countries like China. We have all we need except the strength our forfathers had. Stop worrying about what is owed that we will never see anyway and start producing here again and force them to pay us for what they will need.tariffs should also be hi. And when we exoort than the natural resources used should be brought back to us at the same time or the export will not go out until the resources coming back are satisfied. Time to tuffen up and lead with strength not fear. If we do this things will cost more but we will make more and the dollar will be stronger. My 2c that is currently not worth 2c.

Jean had no competition.

If that is the case, then you do not think Mizerak? McCready? Liscotti? Hall?, or any other of the 50 some professional men she has beat is competition?
Balukas could not help there was no competition in the women's side (actually there was no competition on the women's side because she was so strong), but she certainly proved her self on the men's side.

Man or woman, they had to worry about losing playing Jean.

I disagree. There was no strong women players at that time, other than Jean, compared to todays women players. Name one strong player other than Jean while she's was playing and see how they would match up with Allison, Karen or Kelly. Most people who talk about Jeans play have never actually seen her play.

Well I did see her play, in the 80s. And I have seen Allison, and Karen play. We can make it simple for you, ask Buddy, McCready, who they would rather not face out of the bunch of them. I know clearly where Mizerak stood on the issue, as he said it many times.
