just finished up the first day of the blaze tour championship so i thought i would give everybody an update. This years field was REALLY STRONG! 96 players in all, and there were some really great shooters there:immonen, hopkins, slivka, basavich, abraham, wilkie, fraddy, testa, green, krah, davis,(im probably forgeting some big names) and about 15 or 20 really solid regional players and of course a couple of obscure players that were capable of lighting it up. i tried to watch some of the other matches between my own and i got to see a couple good matches. it was great to see danny basavich back in good form, it was the best ive seen him shoot in a while. final 16 tommorow and im i will do my best to post again to let everybody know who won if im there for the finish. anybody in the northeast who doesnt attend the blaze tour events should really try to check one out. they are well ran, with solid players and good atmosphere. - Tony

Is there a website for this tour? Where do they show the payouts?

here is the website: http://www.blazetour.com/

not sure how the payouts will fall for this finale, but if you scroll to the very bottom of the main page, you will see last years championship and how it is paid out/prizes.

Basavich was playing?

That's good to hear; he hasn't been travelling to play anywhere really since his heart problem, but I'm sure he can still play his ass off.

i told you i was missing some big names! yes adam was there and playing quite well. he made it at least to the final 16 on the winners side. i spoke with danny a little bit and he been doing a lot of lessons lately. he has been very busy since his book came out. his words were "im as healthy as ive ever been, i feel good. i could probably still lose a couple pounds..." . Danny was in great spirits, he is a true class act. i watched him take about 15 minutes to have a nice conversation with two youngsters who came there to meet him. im really pulling for danny to get back on tour, he is fantastic for our sport!- tony

Thanx Tony, I practice with Adam, and we played a few hours of 10 ball Thursday and he was hittn em good....Just got a text that he's locking horns playing an ahead set of 1 pocket for a dime with Danny someone?...

thanx again,

i didnt make it back up today, my guess would be danny green. he plays solid 9 ball, probably not as good as adam though. i dont know about his one pocket game but he has been a big time gambler for a long time so im sure he knows the moves

hey Ray, we have all been going up to American Billiards in Quakertown....me, Jimmy, Mike Sutterby, Adam plays there.....come on up. Theres always a game, and they have 4 wedged up Gold Crowns that play great. We are usually there a few days during the week from like 1pm to 5 or 6. They only charge $8 all day! I'm most likely heading up there today....hope to see you there.
